With love and gratitude, we remember our mother, sister and grandmother, Mrs. Jitka Zimmerová, née Pešková, who was born to Mrs. Antonia Pešková, née Kratochvílová (October 6, 1919 – September 2, 2000).

She lived her life alongside two men. She first married Václav Misler in 1970. On August 8, 1970, their daughter Mirka was born, and on April 16, 1976, their daughter Lenka. They were both very young when they got married, but they lived together for 15 long years before her husband tragically died on March 17, 1985. With her second husband, MUDr. Jiří Zimmer, they gave birth to a daughter, Petra, on April 28, 1987, and lived a long and beautiful life together. Unfortunately, both of them succumbed to serious illnesses in 2017.

Jitka Zimmerová worked as a nurse and cared for other people her whole life. First at the infant institute in Karlovy Vary, then as a pediatric nurse at the polyclinic in Nejdek, then at the inpatient pulmonary department in Ostrov and subsequently in Karlovy Vary, briefly at the Karlovy Vary Military Hospital, and she ended her last professional journey at the orthopedics department at the Karlovy Vary Regional Hospital.

Besides her family and work, dogs were also her great love. She had her beloved dachshund Besina and dreamed of opening a shelter and taking care of dogs in her retirement.

Unfortunately, she did not have time to realize this wish. She now rests here with her mother, Mrs. Antonia Pešková, whom our entire family loved above all else.
