Life story
Eva Pocedičová, née Vejsová, was born on August 31, 1948 in Zlaté Hory. She was the second child of Jiří and Žofie Vejsová and grew up among three brothers. She spent her childhood in the picturesque surroundings of Zlaté Hory, where she attended elementary school. After graduating, she trained as a milliner at the Tonak company in Nový Jičín. It was there that she met her future husband, Ivan Pocedič.
They got married on June 11, 1970. A year later, their son Tomáš was born, and in 1974, their daughter Šárka. Mom devoted herself fully to her family and after maternity leave, she joined the Velamos company. Due to health problems, she worked there only for a short time and then worked at Meta Zlaté Hory. Before retiring, she worked for several more years at the Slezský kámen Zlaté Hory company.
Eva was an exceptionally kind, sensitive and receptive woman. Her kindness and tenderness were evident in everything she did. She was also very skilled and creative. As a self-taught woman, she knew how to knit, crochet and sew, and she created with love, especially for her children. She loved baking and was famous for her cakes, which she prepared for birthdays absolutely naturally and with joy. She also had a great fondness for flowers and the garden, which was a place of peace and joy for her.
Together with her husband, she built a house, which the family moved into on March 13, 1983. It became a home where all its inhabitants lived together. Mom was the one who created the background, warmth and security. She and Dad formed a harmonious couple that provided their children with a beautiful and safe childhood.
After her fiftieth year of life, she began to suffer from health problems that had plagued her for a long time. On July 31, 2009, after a long illness, she passed away. Her family lost their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother forever.
Her daughter Šárka gave her two grandchildren, Lucie and Miroslav, whom Eva loved immensely and enjoyed every moment she could spend with them. Unfortunately, she did not live to see them grow up, but she remains an important part of their family history in their lives.
Son Tomáš has a son, Lukáš, and a daughter, Karolína. Mom couldn't see them much, which often bothered her, but she still had them in her heart with the same love as everyone else.
Eva was a person who gave love, care and understanding to everyone who passed through her life. Her kind nature and quiet wisdom of life remain with those close to her to this day.
