How to Create a Meaningful Profile of the Deceased: Tips and Advice
QR codes on graves are becoming a common part of cemetery culture, making information about the deceased accessible and keeping their memory alive. But how do you create a profile that everyone will read with interest? We have prepared practical tips and advice for you.
First, gather the necessary information
- Name and vital data: Basic information about the deceased – name, date of birth and death – is essential.
- Location and Life Path: Where did the deceased come from and what was their life path? Mentioning the city where they lived, their profession, interests, and hobbies will help portray their personality.
- Family and loved ones: Include the names of spouse, partner, children, siblings, and other close people who played an important role in their life.
- Stories and Anecdotes: Share engaging stories and anecdotes that characterize the deceased's personality and approach to life. These can be funny stories, inspirational moments, or examples of their kindness and generosity.
Supplement your profile with visual material
- Picture of the deceased: Choose a photo that captures the deceased in their best light and reflects their personality.
- Life Photos: Create a collage of photos from different stages of his life, whether from childhood, youth, family celebrations, travels, or interests.
- Videos: If available, add videos of important life events, as well as final goodbyes. Short videos of memories from family and friends are also welcome.
Consider other options
- Quotes and thoughts: If the deceased left behind any inspirational quotes, poems, or other texts, enrich the profile with them.
- Website Link: If there is a website dedicated to the deceased, provide a link to it. This may include a more detailed biography, a photo gallery, memories from loved ones, and an online condolence book.
- Interactive elements: You can also add a map with the deceased's favorite places, a timeline of their life, and other interesting facts.
